Taryn Serman

Graduate Student

Taryn graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 2016 with a degree in Biotechnology. As an undergraduate, she researched the role of heparan sulfate proteoglycan signaling and autophagy induction in Drosophila melanogaster under Dr. Scott Selleck. Taryn entered graduate school in the Committee on Microbiology at the University of Chicago in the fall of 2016 and joined the Gack Lab in spring of 2017. Her current project focuses on regulatory mechanisms of flavivirus replication.
