Dr. Cindy Chiang

Post-doctoral Scholar

Cindy Chiang received her doctorate degree from Florida Atlantic University where her research focused on the identification of gene targets and co-repressors of the SNAG family of transcription factors. She completed postdoctoral training in Dr. John Hiscott’s laboratory at the Vaccine and Gene Therapy Institute of Florida and then Istituto Pasteur in Rome, Italy, where she developed and characterized a novel RIG-I agonist as a therapeutic against viral pathogens such as influenza and dengue viruses. Cindy joined the Gack laboratory in January 2016 and her current project focuses on investigating the mechanisms of innate immune control of JC virus.
